Leadify: How to Get People Nearby to Know Your Store — No Paid Promotion, No Influencers Needed
In my own store we get 200–300 new customers a month, and all I film is these four kinds of videos.
Number one: speak from the customer’s point of view. For example: “We have a rule in our store — if a customer doesn’t want to sign up for a membership card, we never keep pushing, because I’ve always believed that what truly keeps customers isn’t salesmanship, it’s results.” Or: “When it comes to facials, never look at price alone — what matters is what suits your own skin.”
Number two: talk about what you stand by. Don’t boast about how professional you are — tell customers where your money and time go. For example: “Most of what I’ve earned running a beauty salon all these years has gone into products, equipment and training.” Or: “To me, it isn’t about how big or luxurious the salon is — it’s whether customers feel safe putting their face in my hands. Only if I keep improving does it make sense for customers to come to me.”
Number three: put your values out there. Customers aren’t buying a treatment; they’re buying your philosophy of doing business. For example: “I’d rather earn a little less than let a customer have a treatment that doesn’t suit them.” Or: “Let me say something many of my peers wouldn’t dare say: not every skin problem needs a treatment. For some people, changing one skincare habit at home does more than a treatment in the salon.”
Number four: create curiosity. Don’t start by introducing yourself — make customers want to keep listening. For example: “Girls, today I’m telling you something I only discovered after eight years in the beauty business.” When making short videos, remember one line: what makes people remember your video isn’t you introducing yourself, it’s making customers feel that this line is about them.
